Up to 3 beds, all of them doubles: a double bed on a platform, a sofa bed in the living room and a mezzanine bed. A booking includes 2 double beds by default; the 3rd bed is a €25 option for the whole stay, covering the linen, the laundry work and the preparation. Our guests go for the 3rd bed when children — typically over 10 — would rather sleep separately. Small groups of 3, friends or siblings, also appreciate everyone having their own bed to be comfortable.

Families are our most frequent guests, and typically find the flexible number of beds very useful. Children love the cocoon of the mezzanine bed — just make sure they climb up safely and without bumping their heads. A baby bed and baby bath are provided free of charge on request. We are also glad to host groups of friends travelling together: in the centre of Paris, the Duc de Choiseul Flat is an ideal way for friends living in different parts of Europe to meet up.

No. The flat is on the 3rd floor of a 17th-century building listed as a Historical Monument, whose original staircase cannot accommodate a lift. Worth planning for if you are travelling with heavy luggage or a pushchair.

Yes. The windows face a planted inner courtyard rather than the street: almost no noise from the Grands Boulevards reaches the flat, weekends included.

The flat has no air conditioning: it would require an outdoor unit that would jar with the façade, which is not possible on a building listed as a Historical Monument. We do, however, provide two fans and ice packs in the fridge. We also recommend closing the curtains during the day, while you are out, to keep the heat down.

A fully equipped kitchen with a full dishes set, a washing machine and detergent, an iron and mini ironing board, a hairdryer, two fans and hangers. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with shower gel, coffee and tea for your arrival.

The Opéra Comique is a 3-minute walk away, the BnF Richelieu and the Palais Royal gardens 5, the Opéra Garnier 10, the Olympia 13 and the Louvre 20. The Centre Pompidou and the Musée d'Orsay are under 30 minutes on foot, or 20 minutes by metro.

From Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle international airport (Roissy-CDG), an official taxi will take you to the Right Bank for a flat fare of €56. Follow the "taxis" signs around the airport to reach the queue: there is a taxi rank whichever terminal you land at. By public transport, the quickest route is the RER B to Gare du Nord, then line 4 from Gare du Nord to Strasbourg-Saint-Denis, and finally line 8 or 9 to Richelieu-Drouot. We advise checking that these lines are running when you land and that they serve those stations: some close occasionally for works, particularly in the evening and on Sundays.

Paris-Orly airport (ORY) has taxis that will take you to the Right Bank for a flat fare of €45. The ranks are on level 0, doors 32a for terminals 1, 2 and 3, and door 48a for terminal 4. By public transport, metro line 14 — extended to Orly airport in June 2024, fully automated and air-conditioned — takes you to central Paris in 40 minutes. Get off at Madeleine, then continue on line 8 to Richelieu-Drouot.

A taxi is a good option before 8am or after 9pm on weekdays, or in August when business activity in Paris slows down: traffic is lighter on the motorway, on the ring road and within Paris. If you land very early or very late — especially if your flight is delayed — it may be the only option (first RER around 4.50am, last around 11.50pm). Its advantage is being available continuously for as long as the airport is open; its drawback, a sometimes long queue at peak times: the July-August school holidays, the festive season from 20 December, and the April-May holidays. With public transport there is always some uncertainty over service: we advise checking in real time on the Île-de-France Mobilités app, or those of the RATP and SNCF. You will see whether the RER B and lines 4, 8 and 9 are closed for works (which happens very often in August), whether they serve Gare du Nord, Strasbourg-Saint-Denis and Richelieu-Drouot — the stations your journey needs — and whether there are delays, caused by heat or by someone on the tracks. Financially, a taxi costs more if you travel alone (€56 against €14 for the "Paris Région ↔ Aéroports" ticket per person), but becomes worthwhile for four: the same price, more comfort, and no luggage to drag through metro corridors.

The default check-in time is 3pm and the default check-out time 11am. That said, we do our utmost to accommodate your constraints and give you access to the flat for as long as possible. A few days before your arrival or departure, we can tell you whether it is possible to settle in earlier or leave later. In every case, we make sure you can drop off your luggage around midday. We can also point you to the nearest luggage storage points and recommend the one that best suits your plans.

Cancellation is free up to 60 days before the check-in date for any booking made directly on this website.
